Testimonials

Working with Hello Duetto has been incredible for me. As an owner, I am in full control, but the problem with that is there is no accountability or true way to actually measure my actions for how to generate the greatest return for our business.

What I love about Hello Duetto’s process is that it’s fully action driven. The metric is not what you should be doing, or some consultant coming in and telling you what you already know you need to be doing. It’s breaks my actions down into small, implementable steps that are in MY control. Not only is that empowering, but it creates a huge shift in my behavior. I’m feeling more confident and efficient because I’m very intentional about what I’m doing each day. Hello Duetto makes me take the RIGHT actions and allows me to get greater results in my business and more peace of mind.

Hello Duetto’s services were instrumental in helping me achieve better work-life balance. I am a corporate leader; I am a mother; I am a wife. I was struggling to stay focused at work and make time to keep the household organized. On the work side, they helped me get clear on my top priorities & optimized my schedule, and I now feel so laser-focused and productive during the workday.  On the home side, they helped me get my personal life in order by helping me figure out where I could benefit the most from outsourcing. They do so much more than just strategy or coaching – they actively help you find solutions.

The Research

Key Principles
Our habits are strong

In fact, they’re so strong that they cause our brain to cling to them at the exclusion of all else, including common sense. And our brain isn’t capable of telling the difference between good and bad habits.

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

It takes time to build new habits

Generally speaking – anywhere from two to eight months. It’s a process that involves trial & error.

James Clear, author of Atomic Habits

A small amount of effort will create the vast majority of your results.

It’s all about finding the right input to create the most output.

The 80/20 Principle by Richard Koch and The One Thing by Gary Keller and Jay Papsan

Changing a keystone habit can transform everything else

You don’t have to get every single thing right – it’s about zero-ing in on a key priority and then using it as a powerful lever

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

The Neuroscience
Mental load can be alleviated by creating new habits

The prefrontal cortex is the part of your brain where decisions are made and mental load resides. It can only handle so much at any given time. But we can alleviate the pressure on this area by making decisions more automatic (i.e., create new habits that don’t require you to think as much). This is because habits are stored in a different part of your brain – the basal ganglia. Once something becomes a habit, your prefrontal cortex can quiet itself and focus on more important things.

The Psychology

The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

Changing habits is about changing routines

Each habit is comprised of three components – a cue, routine, and reward. A cue triggers a routine, which in turn leads to a reward. To change a habit, research shows that you cannot alter the cue or the reward component of the habit loop. It’s about finding an alternative routine.

Changing habits is about finding the real source of cravings

To overpower an existing habit, it’s important to determine which craving is driving your behavior. Otherwise, you won’t be targeting the real underlying issue. For example – are you overeating because you’re actually hungry, or is it because you’re bored, lonely, or stressed?

Changing habits is about accountability

There is power in groups and shared experiences.  It’s tough to make changes on your own, in isolation. Your odds of success go up dramatically when in a group setting (even if it’s just two people).

Quantum Physics

The Quantum Leader by Danah Zohar

We live in a world that is constantly changing and evolving

Business models that assume companies are like machines and that we operate in a stable, predictable environment do not work in the real world.

Companies are living systems

They are in a constant creative dialogue with their environment. They need to be sensitive to and readily able to adapt to change.

Meaning, vision, and values drive performance

Acting from higher motivations and having a deep sense of purpose will lead to a healthier bottom line than focusing on efficiency and short-term results.

The Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle reigns supreme
The questions we ask in any situation determine the answers we get and the answers we don’t get.
